United Way of St. Charles and Blessed to Be a Blessing, with community partners, will host its 2025 Thanksgiving Turkey giveaway.
The first 300 families will receive a free Turkey and trimmings. The first 100 participants will also receive a free ham. An ID or utility bill is required to receive the supplies.
2025 Battle for the Paddle
With 266 teams cooking jambalaya, gumbo, or pastalaya, United Way of St. Charles celebrated our 2025 fundraising campaign at our 24th annual Battle for the Paddle. The event was held Thursday, October 2nd at the Edward A. Dufresne Community Center in Luling, with live music provided by Ryan Foret & the Foret Tradition.

United Way St. Charles Board Member and personal injury lawyer, Loyd J. Bourdois, has pledged to fully fund the Dolly Parton Imagination Library program in St. Charles Parish.
United Way of St. Charles is making waves in community safety this summer by partnering with Mimosa Park Swim & Racquet Club to offer free swim safety lessons to local children. With the funding provided by United Way, 75 children, ranging in age from 2 years and up, could participate at no cost.

United Way of St. Charles Bridge Run - Additional Information
In collaboration with the New Orleans Track Club, United Way of St. Charles hosts the Bridge Run event to celebrate our community, promote health and physical activity, and raise funds for our programs. These programs provide essential services such as food assistance for children and families, support for cancer patients, and job training opportunities.

We received new information this morning in reference to the forecast for the Bridge Run tomorrow (March 29) that now indicates a significant risk for thunderstorms and lightning during the event.
