United Way of St. Charles is making waves in community safety this summer by partnering with Mimosa Park Swim & Racquet Club to offer free swim safety lessons to local children. With the funding provided by United Way, 75 children, ranging in age from 2 years and up, could participate at no cost.
The available spots were filled within days, with nearly 90% of participants coming from non-club member families, demonstrating strong community demand and need. The program, running from May through September 2025, features small class sizes with a 3:1 student-to-instructor ratio to ensure personalized instruction and a safe, supportive environment.
“Our success with the swim lesson program reminds us why we do this,” said Turner of United Way of St. Charles. “We want to create a place where kids thrive, families connect, and the whole community benefits.”
