Car Seat Giveaway Promotes Child Safety in St. Charles Parish

In a powerful demonstration of community support and child safety advocacy, Blessed to Be a Blessing, Louisiana State Police and United Way of St. Charles partnered Feb. 28 to host a car seat giveaway for families in St. Charles Parish.

The event provided 75 free car seats to local families and ensured each seat was properly installed by trained safety personnel. Louisiana State Police troopers and certified technicians were on-site to educate parents and caregivers about correct car seat installation, proper sizing and best practices to keep children safe on the road.

The giveaway was organized by Blessed to Be a Blessing, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting families and strengthening the community through acts of service and compassion. Volunteers and partners worked together to distribute the seats and connect families with important child passenger safety information.

“Every child deserves to travel safely,” organizers said. “By working together as a community, we can remove barriers for families and help ensure children in St. Charles Parish are protected every time they ride in a vehicle.”

Events like this highlight the power of collaboration among nonprofits, community organizations and law enforcement to address real needs and make a lasting impact on local families.

Blessed to Be a Blessing extends its gratitude to Louisiana State Police and United Way of St. Charles for helping make the event possible.
