United Way of St. Charles’ Battle for the Paddle
The following traffic and parking information has been released ahead of United Way of St. Charles’ Battle for the Paddle being held from 3:00pm-7:30pm on Thursday, October 3rd, 2019 at the Edward A. Dufresne Community Center located at 274 Judge Edward Dufresne Parkway in Luling.
Parking:
Motorists are encouraged to carpool and park in the parking lots off of Judge Edward Dufresne Parkway. These lots include:
o SCP West Bank Bridge Park – All Day
o Lafon Performing Arts Center Parking Lot- All Day
o Satellite Center Parking Lot- after 3:00pm
o SCP Public Schools Maintenance Facility Parking Lot – after 3:00pm
o R.K. Smith Middle School Parking Lot- after 3:30pm
• Handicapped parking is available at the Lafon Performing Arts Center.
• Please note, vehicles are not allowed to park along the shoulder of LA18 (River Road).
Shuttles:
• A FREE shuttle service will be provided from 3:00pm to 7:30pm. Shuttles will pick up from SCP West Bank Bridge Park and drop off at the North Entrance of the Edward A. Dufresne Community Center. Riders will be returned to their vehicles upon leaving the event. The return shuttle bus stop is located at the West Bank Bridge Park at the Main Entrance Gate.
Traffic:
• Motorists should expect extreme traffic delays when travelling along LA18 (River Road) to I-310. When possible, it is advised to utilize the alternate routes of US90 to I-310 or LA3127 to I-310.
