United Way of St. Charles provided a training opportunity for local non-profit organizations on June 30, 2011, as part of its 2011-2012 training program.
As part of United Way of St. Charles’ plan to continually improve its processes, they have implemented an ongoing training program that is being offered to local non-profit agencies.
The training offered this month, titled “The Funding Pie: Diversifying Your Portfolio”, provided agencies with tools to increase their sustainability through various fundraising strategies. Kellie Greene, Vice President of Programs for the Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations, presented the training to the 17 agency representatives in attendance.
Several agency representatives stayed after the training to discuss challenges faced by their agencies. Based on agency feedback, future trainings are being developed and will include grant writing and board development.
