UWSC Success by 6 Hosts Fall Festival Event

United Way Success By 6® Hosts Fall Festival Event

Parents and children from across St. Charles Parish attended the Success By 6® Fall Festival held Saturday, November 15, 2014, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the St. Charles Community Health Center in Norco.

United Way of St. Charles partnered with the St. Charles Community Health Center and other community agencies to provide this fun, educational event that featured information about community resources, parenting workshops, fire safety demonstrations and other resources for families.

Children enjoyed an array of activities such as face painting, carnival games and prizes, laser tag, a human hamster ball, scarecrow reading circles and much more.

Everyone in attendance received free food and giveaways.

“The United Way of St. Charles Success By 6® program enjoys putting on this event because it brings together families in the community to give them the resources they need to raise healthy, happy children. Events like these are important because we know that when a child is prepared for school and life, the entire community benefits,” stated Kacy Kernan, UWSC Director of Community Impact.

Success By 6® is a community impact program developed by United Way of St. Charles that works to provide all children in St. Charles Parish with high quality, early learning opportunities to prepare them to succeed in school and beyond.
