United Way of St. Charles to Host Day of Action,
Install Smoke Detectors
United Way of St. Charles is hosting a Day of Action on Saturday, April 11th to distribute smoke alarms, batteries and fire safety literature to residents in St. Charles Parish. The Day of Action is in partnership with Red Cross of Southeast Louisiana as well as the Norco and Paradis Volunteer Fire Departments.
In support of this event, United Way of St. Charles is seeking volunteers interested in canvassing the Norco or Paradis communities. A training session and lunch will be provided at the United Way of St. Charles Office in Luling beginning at 11am. Volunteers will then drive to either the Norco or Paradis fire department and will canvass from 1pm-3pm.
Designated parking, water and snacks will be provided. Volunteers of all ages are welcome and must provide their own transportation to and from the sites.
