United Way of St. Charles Job Vacancy Notice
Overview of Position:
United Way of St. Charles is seeking to hire a “Volunteer Coordinator” to lead and support individuals and groups of volunteers by promoting/managing/supporting one-time and ongoing opportunities for volunteers and donors to connect to both the United Way’s Partner Agency network and other agencies or projects with a parallel mission.
This staff person will focus on A) identifying needs of non-profits in the community B) recruiting individuals and groups wishing to provide volunteer services C) connecting the non-profits and the volunteers D) coordinating projects and tracking results.
The position is a full-time, exempt from over time job with starting wage range of $28,000 - $32,000/year. Health insurance, vacation, and 401k are included.
Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field or comparable combination of education and experience. Experience with MS Office and database software. Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time. Knowledge of project planning and logistics. Adaptability and flexibility in type of work and hours.
