St. Charles Community Health Center is a Federally Qualitified Health Center whose mission is to provide accessible high quality health care through collaborative community efforts, to promote prevention and coordinate treatment, and to improve the health care status of our community with the emphasis on the underserved and vulnerable populations regardless of ability. St. Charles Community Health Center has locations in Luling, Norco, Kenner and in Slidell. 

 

The health center provide a variety of services that include:
 Adult Primary & Preventative Health care
 Pediatric Primary & Preventive Health Care
 OB/Gyn Prenatal & Postpartum Care
 Behavioral Health & Counseling Services
 Public Health Services:
 Women Infants & Children (WIC) Program
 Family Planning Program
 Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program
 Louisiana Medicaid KidMed Program
 Asthma & Allergy Specialty Services
 Immunizations
 Diabetic Education/ Nutritional Counseling
 Case Management
 Podiatry Services
 Adult Day Health Care Program
 Medicaid Application Center
 Pharmacy Discount Program

 

In addition to these services the health center is now offering drug screening to employers at their Paul Mallard location and also accepting new patients in the Norco clinic. Patient fees are discounted based on the household income for uninsured patients.  Medicaid, Medicare and commercial insurance is also accepted.

 

With the generosity of Second Harvest and United Way of St. Charles Parish the community health center offer food distribution the 4th Saturday of each month at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church located at 234 Angus Drive Luling. The health center welcomes local organizations and individuals to become monthly sponsors and to volunteer for the monthly food distribution.
