Our Work

United Way of St. Charles is working to advance the common good by focusing on education, income and health. These are the building blocks for a good like- a quality education that leads to a stable job, enough income to support a family through retirement, and good health.

We accomplish this in 2 ways:

1. Funding Partner Agencies

Donor contributions are used to fund local agencies providing direct services in St. Charles Parish. Our partner agencies are selected by a volunteer committee that uses a multi-step review process to ensure donor dollars are used effectively. Agencies also provide ongoing reports to maintain accountability.

2. United Way Community Impact Programs

United Way of St. Charles develops and opperates programs that target specific needs in St. Charles Parish. We emphasize "proactive" programs designed to help people help themselves. These programs offer services in a variety of areas including early childhood education, financial stability and job/life skills training.
